Spitfire Mk. XVI
One of the great highlights is a local celebrity staying at Sola.

The car-themed Airshows are ready for a new season of fantastic top-class flying displays with their Spitfire Mk warbirds. XVI and the previously announced P-51D Mustang.
When these machines come in at high speed and the distinctive Merlin sound resounds in the landscape it goes cold down the back of any aviation enthusiast. The Spitfire Mk. The XVI was a variant that arrived late in World War II. Biltema's copy was built in 1945, at the very end of the war and therefore never entered combat.
Facts about the Spitfire Mk. XVI:
- Country: UK
- Engine: Packard Merlin 266
- Effect: 1580 hp
- Wingspan: 11.2 meters
- Top Speed: 660 km/h approx.
A true icon of World War II — and considered by many to be one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built.
