MH-60R Seahawk
The MH-60R Seahawk is the RDAF's newest helicopter and will arrive at Flight Days 2026.
The Sikorsky Seahawk is an American military multi-purpose helicopter and is in many ways the maritime version of the recognizable UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. The MH-60R is primarily a helicopter designed for antisubmarine warfare, but can perform several tasks such as search and rescue.
Some of the differences on these helicopter types include corrosion protection, more powerful engines and “kinks” on the tail so that the helicopter takes up less space aboard vessels.

Seahawk in Norway
The Air Force entered into a contract in 2023 for the procurement of six MH-60R Seahawk helicopters to be delivered in 2027 and “replacing” the NH90. Some of the crew coming to Flydagen are Norwegians who train in their new “office”.
