With roots in Bergen, Jonas brought raw power and soaring vocals to the MGP scene in Lillehammer with his infectious song, “Ya Ya Ya”. The performance secured him a flawless victory: a complete triumph at the international juries with a perfect score of 12/12 across the board, coupled with a crushing victory in the popular vote. This superior result earned him the honour of carrying the Norwegian flag to Vienna in May 2026.

Norway really caught the eye of Jonas in 2025 during the tenth season of The Voice, where he impressed both mentors and audiences with a distinctive vocal rawness and a stage presence that felt several years ahead of his time. The following summer he spent proving his talent as a live performer on some of Western Norway's biggest festival stages. Later he also showed his versatility by selling out Latter in Oslo two nights in a row and Grieghallen in Bergen, together with Else Kåss Furuseth, Skrellex and the Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra (KORK).

Jonas is known for his energy, unique style and his tremendous ability to connect with audiences. Musically, he embraces multiple genres and has an artistic expression that stands out and truly engages. As a natural entertainer, he loves to surprise and give of himself, and he actively works to break down the barrier between the stage and the audience. At the heart of his oeuvre lies an important message of daring to be oneself. Jonas encourages everyone to embrace exactly who they are and to “not care” about the opinions of others. For Jonas, putting aside the weight of external expectations is the only way to truly enjoy life -- a philosophy that shines through in every note of “Ya Ya Ya” as he gets ready for Vienna.
