| Thank you for a fantastic weekend! |
 The weekend is over, and we've had an amazing two (well three if we count Friday) days at Sola. We've seen almost the entire spectre of aviation activities this weekend. The slight Bleriot XI from 1909 to superb propeller-driven aerobatics with the Extra 300 and one of a kind Pitts Python, the jet-whistle and jet-roar from the Vampire, F-16 and Gripen. Ice cream, mineral water and hot dogs were devoured on both days. Eyes filled with anticipation were directed towards the sky for 8 hours on both days. We'd like to send a big thank you to all who helped make this airshow a success. Thank you to all participating aircraft, pilots and support personnel for a marvellous display. Thank you to the large group of volunteers from the organising clubs, the military, and other organisations who sold tickets, hot dogs, moved aircraft, and handled the many thousand other activities that need to work to pull off a successful airshow. Thank you to the over 30 000 spectators who visited the airshow on Saturday and Sunday. Thank you all!

| Access, parking and general info |
 The first flying guests have arrived at the airport (Gripen and Patrouille Suisse arrived Thursday) and the weather people predict that the airshow weather will be good.
We'd again like to emphasize the practical aspects of access and parking at the airshow. Note that several access routes near Sola is closed. Please follow directions from our staff. The price list and other practical information can be found on our information page.
If you hear engine noise today, look up. Rumors have it that several of our military guests will practice their show programme today.

| Sola Airshow 2007 on DVD and TV |
 A Sola Airshow DVD will be produced in connection with the major anniversary airshow at Sola. 6 film photographers will be at work during both days, filming the airshow. Besides the highlights from the show, the DVD will include aviation footage from NRK Rogaland's archives. We'll get the opportunity to meet the Metropolitan club again, see parts of the airshow in 1987 and much much more. The DVD will be produced by West Audit Productions in collaboration with NRK Rogaland.
Large parts of the show will be streamed on NRK Rogaland 24, a dedicated TV-channel that's distributed to Lyse Tele's TV-subscribers around the clock. It is also freely available on NRK's website. |

| Sverre Quale will be opening the airshow |
 The formal opening of Sola Airshow 2007 will be performed by the CEO of Avinor, Sverre Quale, Saturday June 2nd at 12:15. Soon after, the Patrouille Suisse will start their display and really get the show started.
Even though the official opening isn't until 12:15, the display programme starts at 09:00 on both days, and will continue throughout the day until the show ends, at about 17:00.
People in the local area may want to watch the sky in the days prior to the show, as several of the participants will fly a few extra rounds in connection with their arrival at Sola. There will also be some airborne activities over Vågen in Stavanger the last few evenings before the show in order to set the mood before the airshow itself starts off on Saturday at 09:00.

 To help us set the stage for each display, we've put together a first rate speaker team. Jan Erik "Autofil" Larsen will be the team's mobile element and will report from (and above) the airshow grounds. Pilot, Flynytt editor and skydiver Rolf Liland, as well as retired air traffic controller, aviation historian and enthusiast Johan Sørung, will be the team's stationary element with excellent knowledge of modern and historical aviation. We're looking forward to it and hope you do as well. |

| RNoAF "Eye of the Tiger" |
 The Norwegian Air Force will provide us with a great show from EOT- ”Eye Of the Tiger”, consisting of three F-5's. A C-130 Hercules will show us what it can do, and two F-16's will be closing the airshow on both days with a fabulous display that also includes pyrotechnical effects.

| Wingwalking and aerobatics |
 Scandinavian Airshow (www.airshow.se) will be arriving from Sweden with a spectacular show that has never been seen at Sola before. The well-known pilot, Jacob Holländer, will be flying aerobatics with a Grumman G164 biplane, whilst two young "Skycats" are out on the wings, The same pilot will also be flying one of Europe's newest and rawest aerobatics aircraft, a Pitts Python, whilst performing unbelievable manoveures.

| Model aircraft, paragliders, gliders and groundlevel activities |
 Visitors to the airshow will be introduced to a large selection of aircraft and air sports activities. Some of Norway's leading model aircraft pilots will display their skills, both outside and indoors(!). A modern glider will be displaying impressive aerobatics, and powered paragliders will be demonstrated. Skydiving is of course also essential for a successful airshow. At ground level we'll find many exciting offers and activities, such as simulators, exhibitions and demonstrations, including experimental aircraft that are under construction. Aircraft distributors will also be displaying the latest models of selected private aircraft. The aviation history museum at Sola have moved part of their exhibit to the airshow area so that visitors will be able to experience these historic aircraft close up. In addition, several European air forces will be displaying (on static), modern aircraft, such as the Eurofighter Typhoon, Hawk, F4, Tornado etc.

| Norwegian will be flying aerobatics! |
 Not with a B737, but an Extra-300 from Poland, which is being sponsored by Norwegian this year. The aircraft is a purebred aerobatics machine and will be flown by one of Poland's greatest pilots, known from innumerable airshows, and who's also a world-class aerobatics competitor. The pilot is Robert Kowalik and he's a 6 time Polish champion. This will be quite a display, and with the Norwegian Extra 230, flown by one of Norway's top aerobatics pilots, Thore Thoresen (Norwegian champion, advanced aerobatics), the audience will experience high-level international aerobatics over Sola airport.
